Editorial Roles

Editorial Team

The editorial team plays a central role in driving the editorial process and managing the publication of the journal. The team is responsible for communicating with authors and coordinating among editors throughout the publication stages. The editorial team consists of:

Chief Editor

The Chief Editor is responsible for overseeing the entire article publication process and also acts as the journal manager (due to the currently limited editorial staff). The Chief Editor communicates with and monitors the editorial stages carried out by authors, section/scientific editors, and review editors/peer reviewers to ensure alignment with the journal’s publication ethics and procedures.

Section/Scientific Editors

Section/scientific editors are editorial team members affiliated with various institutions, including higher education, research and development, and/or health organizations. They handle articles within their areas of expertise and serve as communication mediators between authors and review editors/peer reviewers as part of the publication process.

Editorial Board

The editorial board consists of lecturers, researchers, and practitioners in the fields of health sciences, medicine, pharmacy, and biomedical sciences who actively review articles for Kisi Berkelanjutan. They are acknowledged as members of the editorial board of the journal in recognition of their ongoing contributions to the editorial process. Editorial board members are well-versed in the technical functions of the journal publishing system (using OJS) and are capable of processing peer review invitations issued by the Editorial Office.

Editorial board members who serve as review editors/peer reviewers have their institutional affiliations and fields of expertise transparently displayed in the journal and on published articles. This ensures the editorial process adheres to journal publishing standards.
